My family!

I'm Mrs. Hickman.  I've been teaching at Orchard Elementary since the Fall of 2017.  I graduated from Brigham Young University with degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education and with a minor in music.  I recently expanded my license to include Early Childhood Education as well as a Level 2 Elementary Music Endorsement.

My primary instrument is the clarinet.  I played with Brigham Young University Wind Symphony during my college years and had the opportunity to tour with them to China, Hong Kong and Taiwan and later to Australia and New Zealand.  I've also played with the American Fork Symphony and am currently the principal clarinetist in the Pleasant Grove Orchestra.  I also play the piano, organ, and a little bit of the ukulele.  I taught 6th grade for several years and now love teaching 2nd grade and Music at Orchard Elementary!
